This notice explains how CBC collects, uses, stores, and shares information about internship applicants and (if selected) interns.
1) What information we collect
Depending on what you submit and how you interact with us, we may collect:
A. Information you provide
Contact information (name, email, phone, address if provided)
Education and work history (resume, school/program, experience)
Application materials (cover letter, portfolio links, writing samples)
Optional Internship Applicant Exercise submission (if you choose to provide it)
Scheduling communications and responses
B. Technical information
When you use our websites/forms, we may receive standard technical data such as:
IP address, device/browser type,
basic usage logs (date/time, pages visited),
upload metadata (file size/type), as available via our hosting or form tools.
2) How we use information
We use applicant information to:
evaluate eligibility and fit,
communicate with you about the recruiting process,
manage scheduling and candidate workflows,
improve recruiting operations and candidate experience,
comply with legal obligations and maintain records.
3) Optional Internship Applicant Exercise data
If you choose to submit the Optional Internship Applicant Exercise via:
https://internships.cbconsulting.site/intern-exercise
we may collect:
the email you enter in the form (“Student Email”),
the PDF you upload (“Exercise Submission Upload”),
timestamp and basic submission logs.
Participation is optional, and you are encouraged to decline if you prefer.
4) How we share information
CBC may share applicant information with service providers that help us operate recruiting workflows (e.g., hosting, form handling, email systems). These providers are expected to use information only to provide services to CBC.
We do not sell applicant information.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights/safety, or to respond to lawful requests.
5) Data retention
We retain applicant information for as long as reasonably necessary for:
recruiting and evaluation,
recordkeeping and compliance,
resolving disputes and enforcing policies.
If you request deletion, we will honor it where feasible unless retention is required for legal/compliance reasons.
6) Security
No system can be guaranteed 100% secure. CBC uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to our size and risk profile, which may include access controls, limited permissions, and operational practices to reduce unauthorized access.
7) Your choices and requests
You may request to:
correct inaccurate contact information,
withdraw your application,
request access or deletion where applicable.
